Tesla Motors proves that ingenuity will always prevail over corporate and government greed! I’m just surprised that it’s taken so long… This should have happened in the 70’s when I remember my dad waiting in long gas lines… That was the 70’s!!! - Many people don’t even know how terrible that was…

So what did we do? Did we set a ten year goal to get off oil? (like we did to get to the moon)… NO - We invented SUV’s! Well, now, after more than 4500 soldiers have died to keep our tanks full, we’re beginning to wake up! And hopefully, this time, we’ll finally learn our lesson: WE MUST STOP USING FOREIGN OIL!

So, which major manufacturer started Tesla Motors? NONE! Major manufacturers, just like big-oil corporations and the government don’t want us to stop buying gas. Government makes BILLIONS a year taxing each gallon of gas AND from all the related parts and maintenance that our gas powered vehicles require. Big Oil is making BILLIONS per QUARTER from oil… and they don’t want to have to spend any money on new infrastructure… but you know what? It’s time for government to actually start thinking about helping it’s people… It’s time we decide to forget about political parties and start voting ONLY for individuals that DON’T sell-out to oil companies and DO SOMETHING to get us off of our dependence on foreign oil!

On a different subject, I’d like to comment on the Tesla name and why it is IRONIC that it is used for the first real electric car… While it is true that Tesla invented the type of motor in the Tesla roadster (the AC motor), did you know that he also invented the SPARK PLUG? How ironic is that! But, most of you probably don’t even know who Tesla was… And no, I’m not talking about the music group!

Nikola Tesla is (in my opinion) the most important inventor in history. If you haven’t heard of him… you MUST read about him! (He is the true inventor of the radio!) Most people still think that Marconi invented it, but the supreme court proved that Marconi used one of Tesla’s patents to create the radio! Tesla, was actually more influential (in my opinion) than EDISON! (who I can’t stand!) Why? Edison used DC (direct current) while Tesla invented AC (Alternating Current) which has many advantages - such as being able to be transmitted for hundreds of miles without much power loss, and is the basis for most of the 20th centuries important industries.

Edison was such a bastard! I’m sorry, but did you know that when Tesla invented AC, Edison went around the city with a cage full of dogs and electrocuted them on the street to show how dangerous AC current was! How cruel was that! Anyway, Tesla not only invented AC (what you plug everything into in your home) but he also came up with most of the products that we use today: AC motors, generators, transformers, radio, tv, radar, remote controls, fluorescent lights, and many many more ingenious inventions - some of which we don’t even know about today because the government kept them for themselves!

Anyway… back to Tesla Motors. The important point I want to stress is that the Tesla Motors doesn’t even realize how important they are (or could eventually be!). As the first MODERN AMERICAN ELECTRIC CAR COMPANY - they have the opportunity to change how this new industry is seen and respected world wide. They have demonstrated that the electric car is not a toy anymore. They proved it can be Cool, functional and compete with the best luxury cars in the world! Now it’s up to them to decide if they want to be only a company for rich people (and let China steal their technology and start importing MILLIONS of affordable vehicles to the REAL MARKET: US!). If I were them, I’d start licencing the technology to PATRIOTIC car companies! What are PATRIOTIC CAR COMPANIES? Companies that will set-up assembly plants HERE IN THE USA (not North America - that includes Canada and Mexico) NO! We need to be a world leader in automobiles again! We must start BUILDING these cars HERE in the USA so people can feel good about our new electric car industry!

So let’s get busy Tesla Motors!!! Start making an affordable family and economy version with your supercar technology - but for the average family! - DON’T LET OTHER COUNTRIES COPY YOU AND BEAT YOU TO THE TRUE MULTI-BILLION DOLLAR MARKET: THE MILLIONS OF VEHICLES YOU COULD SELL TOMMOROW TO AVERAGE PEOPLE LIKE ME!
