Think City Electric Car: 110miles, 65mph, $35,000 in 2008!

Ford spent 150 MILLION dollars developing this car and then sold it when it was 95% done to a Norwegian company - What Idiots! Now it’s going to be imported into our company, but it will be assembled here!

The reason it’s in the Buzz section is because they just announced that they’re going to launch it here (North America!) by the end of this year (2008). To help out on the price $35,000, they say they’ll sell you the car for $25,000 and lease you the batteries for $150 to $200 dollars a month… That just sounds like a way to make the car SEEM cheaper, but I don’t think people are that stupid. It seems like a marketing ploy… It seems a bit overpriced too… but we’ll just have to see the quality. They say it’s very good.

Breaking News: They just announced (or I’ve just found out) that they’ve partnered with GE! So this “little” car that’s been in production for 10 years in Norway, will suddenly begin mass production… with all new electronics and guess what! The car has less than 600 parts! So they plan to assemble them locally!

I THINK I’m beginning to like the THINK company the more I know about them…
