Zenn Electric Car: Currently Low Speed, But EEstor Can “Supercharge” it!

Here’s another option in the low-speed electric car market (for now)… They are working with EEstor (a super-secret Ultracapacitor technology co.) to make the Zenn the first real freeway capable replacement to the gas car… with a range of 250 miles! (they say). Let’s hope they can do it soon.
For now, the Zenn (Zero Polution - No Noise) car that is on the market now is just O.K. as a second car (in my opinion)… for short trips around town… to the market, church etc… it meets these requirements (under 35mile round trip). The can is now limited by state laws to go only 25mph, but can be adjusted to go 35 when the laws change… Recently, states have been re-thinking this 25mph limitation… and, since even mopeds are allowed to go faster, many states in my opinion should increase this speed limit to 35mph or even 45mph (in my opinion). At that point, I believe people will start buying this type of vehicle without hesitation.
The Zenn does have a few advantages though… not using ANY gas is the most obvious, but in my opinion, I think the regular car looks is what people like the most… at least that’s what women are saying… They say it’s really cute… I don’t think they’ll think it’s so cute when they find out that it’s only a 2 seater! It looks like a mini-suv… but it’s only a 2 seater? c’mon! I kinda like the looks too, but I’m more interested in being able to travel more than 17 miles (35miles round trip) - which, I think, is the big GOTCHA!
The reason this vehicle is a poor replacement for gas car is that they planned this vehicle for a very specific market segment… the 2nd car market - but, unfortunately, they’re trying to market it to everyone… which in my opinion is a really bad idea - and makes people continue to think that electric vehicles are still not ready to compete with gas cars - which is NOT TRUE - visit www.greenvehilces.com
Why the poor stats? It still uses old technology (DC - direct current motor and lead-Acid batteries) Although they are the gel type, which at-least don’t require maintenance. But, because of this, the range is really poor (only 17 miles before you have to turn around!)… This limitation will have to be addressed if they want to compete in the current market today.
In my opinion, until the highway ready Zenn (with the eestor ultracapacitor) becomes available, I’d rather buy the AC motor and Lithium batteries alternative at GreenVehicles for only $11.995! It’s a 2 seater neighborhood car, but it can go 60 miles on a charge instead of 35… and for just a little more, $19.995, you can get the Triac, which offers a 120 mile freeway capable 2 seater “car” that (in my opinion looks even cooler!) and is a TRUE alternative to most peoples needs.
